What we do and how we do it!

All children that join us have a keyworker, each keyworker keeps documents of each childs development. While the children play we observe them and record these observations in their personal profile. We then develop activities to enhance their development. Focusing on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Every Child Matters.

We regard these profiles as a  keepsake from us to you when your child leaves. So during their stay we will take photographs of the children playing and place the photo’s in their profile. So the longer they stay the more photographs they will receive. (Nursery children receive ‘a little extra’ to say thank you for staying with us)

A detailed synopsis of the profile will be sent to your school of choice when it’s time for them to leave.

Every Child Matters

The child’s safety and health is of utmost importance to us so life skills, citizenship, staying safe and healthy is discussed on a daily basis.

We will work with the children and parents to encourage the children to be good listeners, well mannered and sociable.

We use letters and maths as part of our everyday routine. A lot of our play is theme play or based on childrens suggestions or play.

The themes we cover are:

  • Where People Live
  • Our Favourite Book
  • Festivals
  • People Who Help Us
  • Growth, Our Growth and Nutrition
  • Around the World

But beware, we cook, we bake, we get messy. We have fun because we LAUGH and LEARN
